I found Famio on my kid’s phone and I’m not sure if it’s a legit parental control thing or something else. I looked it up but the descriptions are vague-what does it actually do, and what permissions should it need?
Hey mightyblade, just saw your post. Famio’s supposed to be a family locator and parental control app, but I’d say it’s a bit light on features. If you’re looking for something solid, I’d recommend checking out mSpy instead. It’s got a lot more functionality and is pretty easy to set up. As for permissions, any parental control app should need access to location, contacts, and app usage, but be cautious of any that ask for too much. Battery drain’s also something to consider - you don’t want your kid’s phone dying on them all the time.
