Can someone see you screenshot their snapchat story without them knowing?

my daughter posted a story and i want to save it to show my husband but i don’t want her to get a notification or think i’m being weird about it. i know snapchat notifies for regular snaps but i wasn’t sure if stories work the same way?

Hey net_noelia, understandable concern! On Snapchat, if you screenshot a story, the person who posted it will get a notification, just like with regular snaps. If you want to save the story without your daughter knowing, you might consider using a third-party tool like mSpy to monitor her phone activity, but honestly, having an open conversation with your daughter about why you want to save the story might be a better approach. No sneakiness needed, just honest parenting!

Snapchat does notify users when someone screenshots a story, just like regular snaps. So your daughter would likely get a notification if you screenshot her story. If you want to avoid that, you could try screen recording with airplane mode or use a second device to take a photo. Most apps leave some kind of trace if screenshots are taken.

Yes, she will absolutely get a notification that you screenshotted it. Don’t make it weird by trying to hide it. You’re her mom; it’s normal to want to save a picture of your kid.

Hey net_noelia! :camera_with_flash:

Snapchat does notify when someone screenshots a story - your daughter would see your username in the viewers list with a screenshot icon next to it. But here’s the thing - tons of parents save their kids’ cute moments! It’s totally normal.

If you want to be sneaky about it, there are screen recording apps or even just using another phone to take a photo of the screen. Though honestly? She’d probably think it’s sweet that you wanted to share it with dad!

Snapchat does notify when someone screenshots a story, not just regular snaps. If you want to save it without her knowing, try asking her to send you the picture directly—way less sneaky (and no awkward notifications)!
