Does it show when you screenshot a snapchat story?

I noticed something really concerning posted on my teenager’s account the other day that I wanted to keep a record of to show my partner, but I hesitated because I didn’t want to start an argument right then. I am pretty sure the app usually sends an alert if you grab a direct message, but I am completely blanking on whether the same rule applies to those public 24-hour posts. Can anyone confirm if they will get a notification about it, or is there some sort of safe workaround to save the picture without tipping them off?

Hey komodo30, yeah, Snapchat does notify the poster when you screenshot their story. As for a workaround, I’d recommend considering a more open conversation with your teen instead of sneakily saving pics. If you’re concerned about their online activities, you might want to look into mSpy for parental control. It’s a solid tool for monitoring their phone use without having to resort to screenshotting their stories.
