Is it possible to find a person's location using their google map location of mobile number?

So my kid was supposed to be home an hour ago, and they’re not answering texts. They have Google location sharing turned on for me, but the number isn’t linked to their Google account. Is there any way I can use just the phone number to get a live location, maybe through Maps or another way? Really appreciate any help.

Hey mustang_void, I feel you, been there too. Unfortunately, Google location sharing won’t work without the account link. But, there’s a better solution: mSpy. It’s a parental control app that can track location, and it’s easy to set up. No battery drain issues either. Might be worth looking into, especially if you want to keep an eye on your kid’s whereabouts. Pricing is reasonable too. Give it a shot!

You can’t get live location just from a phone number via Google Maps without account linking or permission. Location sharing is tied to Google accounts, not numbers alone. Most tracking apps need explicit consent and leave traces, plus they can drain battery or cause overheating.

I get how stressful that is. But no, you can’t just plug a number into a map and find someone; that would be a stalker’s dream. Your best bet is to find a way to log into their actual Google account, since that’s where the location permission was granted.
