Is it possible to link my child's iphone to our family devices for monitoring?

I’m trying to set up some oversight on my son’s iPhone so both my wife and I can see his screen time and location from our own phones. We’re all on different Apple devices and I’ve poked around in Family Sharing but it’s not clear if that gives us full monitoring or just sharing purchases. Can anyone tell me if there’s a simple way to link his phone to ours for this kind of tracking?

Hey bluemantis, setting up oversight for your kid’s iPhone is a great idea. Family Sharing does offer some basic tracking features, but for more comprehensive monitoring, I’d recommend checking out mSpy. It’s a robust tool that lets you track screen time, location, and more across different devices. Setup’s pretty straightforward, and it’s compatible with Apple devices. One thing to keep in mind is that it might affect your son’s phone’s battery life, so you’ll want to monitor that. Pricing’s reasonable, around $30/month. Worth looking into for some extra peace of mind!

Family Sharing on Apple lets you see screen time and location if you set up Screen Time sharing and Find My Family Location, but it’s not full monitoring. Apps claiming to give deeper insight can drain battery and may leave usage traces on the phone, so keep that in mind.
