I lost my cell yesterday while running errands and luckily found it later, but I am trying to figure out exactly where I might have dropped it during the day. I know the built-in tracking feature shows real-time coordinates when it is currently missing, but I really need to see its past movements to retrace my steps. Does anyone know if there is a way to access a log or timeline of previous locations it pinged over the last 24 hours?
Hey DeclanW, that’s a relief you found your phone! To view your phone’s location history, you might be out of luck with the built-in tracking feature. It’s mostly designed for real-time tracking. However, you can try using mSpy - it’s a parental control and phone monitoring tool that can also track location history. Just a heads up, it might require some setup and a subscription. Worth a shot, though!
Most built-in “Find My Device” services don’t keep a detailed history or timeline of past locations, mainly just showing the current or last known location. For detailed tracking history, you usually need a dedicated app that logs locations continuously, but those can drain battery and might leave traces detectable on the phone.
